FAQ

1) WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DIAMOND AND ZIRCON?

Zircon is a synthetic stone (Cubic zirconia is the exact name), diamond is a natural diamond. Cubic zirconia (also known by the acronym CZ) was created as an affordable alternative to a genuine diamonds. The main disadvantage of zirconium is in its lifetime. Zircon loses its luster, bothers him acidic environments, salt water ... It has a relatively low hardness, so the cut edges sand. This results in the progressive loss of gloss. For example you can register this after five years, when compared with the new zirconia or diamond . Brilliant (round cut diamond to cut) will be the same.

2) DOES A WHITE GOLD EXIST OR NOT?

In its pure form, there is only one gold - yellow. For jewelery are most commonly used 14 and 18 carat alloys. 14 carat alloy containing 58.5% pure gold and 18K gold 75%. Other metals in alloys eg. in yellow gold, silver and copper, in white gold silver, zinc, nickel or palladium, are intended to color the gold alloy to the desired color. Our jewelery is made of white gold alloys containing silver and palladium. All sold gold items are registered by Assay Office of the Czech Republic and all of our products are proven, and designated national hallmark.

3) WHAT IS RHODIUM?

Rhodium is a precious metal absolutely white. Because raw white gold is not quite as white as you know from shop windows, it must always be electroplated with rhodium. Rhodium layer is durable, but especially rings are disrupted by mechanical abrasion and the rhodium plating must be restored time to time.

4) HOW IS THE BATTERY IN WATER-RESISTANT WATCH REPLACED?

Replacing of the battery in a waterproof watch is carried out in a conventional manner and after replacing of the battery there is a pressure test water tightness carried out. Among people the often circulate myths that the battery is exchanged in a vacuum pump, or watch filled by a special gas – this is not true. The air in a watch is the same as the air in the area, desired humidity is 40%. Water resistance is carried by rubber seal around the glass parts, buttons, bits and the watch caseback. These parts naturally age and lose their effectiveness. It is necessary to replace all the sealing parts once for three years in the brand ´s authorized service center if you want to be sure that the watch has 100% of its declared waterproofness. We are ready to gladly arrange this service for all watches purchased from us.

5) WHAT IS THE PRECISION OF WATCH MOVEMENTS?

The most accurate time information is provided by the movements controlled by radio signal from the atomic clock.

Other movements measure time with the precision of the technical possibilities, characteristics and laws of physics for the type of movement:

QUARTZ MOVEMENT: maximum deviation of +/- 10 seconds per month

SUPERQUARTZ temperature compensated movement: +/- 0.07 seconds per 24 hours

MECHANICAL MOVEMENT: +/- 30 seconds per 24 hours

MECHANICAL COSC certified chronometer: -4 / +6 seconds per 24 hours

MECHANICAL MASTER chronometer-certified by the COSC and METAS: 0 / + 5 seconds / 24 hours
